About the artwork
Contaminated Water #1 (20” x 42.25”/ 51 x 107cm) (c) 2010 Jean M. Judd/Artists Rights Society (ARS) New York Hand Stitched Thread on Hand Dyed Textile A new series began in 2010 of textile art entitled Contaminated Water created with my own hand dyed fabric and dense hand stitching. The image of the piece, Contaminated Water #1, is reflective of the gasoline and oil slicks that can be seen in many waterways where boats are docked. Note the partial image of a dead floating fish in the top center edge of the artwork. The concentrated circles hand stitched into the artwork are the swirls made from tossing rocks into the water. This artwork can be displayed in either a vertical or horizontal orientation which creates more dynamic display options paring this piece with others in the series. **Contact Artist for relevant shipping charges to Buyer's location.**Medium Details
