Bio
I’m a contemporary realist still-life and figurative painter. Using humor, I explore connections between language and experience through work that includes food, toys and elements of popular culture. I’m a sucker for imperfections and detail, which is why I have a nice collection of old cardboard, glass ware, bubble wrap and other “household debris.” I am always working to improve upon the realistic quality of my work so I can explore trains of thought through a visual language that is easily relatable.
