Bio

New Mexico based artist, Teresa Lynn Johnson, has been honing her skills in oil painting for many years. Teresa began her professional art journey as one of twelve artist chosen for a yearlong mentorship under the guidance of well known artist Kevin Macpherson. She also holds a Fine Art Certification from Sessions Professional School of Design and has studied with various artists over the years. She continues to challenge herself with both plein air and studio work.

In the Four Corners region of the western United States, where she lives and paints, there is no end of inspiration. She is an outdoor enthusiast and draws inspiration from the play of light over each meadow, mountaintop, tree, desert boulder or animal in their natural surroundings. “As an artist, it is pure joy to create my interpretations of nature and animal life on canvas using artistic tools, color, composition, knowledge and the stirring of my heart.”
