Hummingbirds in Flowers (36” x 36”/ 91.5 x 91.5cm) (c) 2004 Jean M. Judd/Artists Rights Society (ARS) New York Hand Stitched Thread on Commercial Textile This is the second quilt in a series using hand cross stitched panels as the center medallion. Each quilt in the series has a different center panel ranging from angels to light houses to eagles. A commercial floral-patterned fabric and a muted Oriental print are incorporated around the hummingbirds giving the illusion that they are suspended in an Oriental flower garden. The hand quilting of the hummingbird silhouettes in the black border gives this piece its finishing touch. All quilting stitches are done by hand. Completing pieces at a slower pace gives more time for contemplation of the piece, and new details emerge as I am working on the hand quilting, making these quilts true works of textile art. **Contact Artist for relevant shipping charges to Buyer's location.**Medium Details
