Judd/Artists Rights Society (ARS) New York Hand Stitched Thread on Hand Dyed, Rust Pigmented Textile Continuation of the Contaminated Water series with this piece reflecting the muck that is the bottom of many lakes that started their lives as swamps and marshes, but due to man’s influence and desire for deep lakes for fish and recreation, have become lakes they were not meant to be. Their part in the ecosystem has been changed affecting animals and plants that depended on the marshes and swamps for food, shelter, and protection. This hand dyed artwork also has rust pigmentation applied to it prior to the dense hand stitching done in both a circular design as well a triangular design between the spirals.
