About the artwork

Contaminated Water #6: Suspended Particles (42.5” x 43.25”/ 107 x 109cm) (c) 2010-2011 Jean M. Judd/Artists Rights Society (ARS) New York Hand Stitched Thread on Hand Dyed, Rust Pigmented Textile This is a continuation of the Contaminated Water series with this piece representative of rust particles that are often suspended in water where metal has been submerged for long periods of time and started to rust and disintegrate. When one of the lakes was drained to return the lake to its original marsh like condition years ago, several old cars, farm equipment, and other pieces of metal were discovered in the former lake bed. These contributed to the water quality issue of the lake. The circular hand quilted textural design is continued in this textile artwork. It adds physical and visual texture to the artwork. These interconnecting elements make these pieces work very well together for large installation possibilities. Once again, this artwork is designed to be displayed vertically or horizontally. **Contact Artist for relevant shipping charges to Buyer's location.**
